Feature

  • 100 heavily rooted cuttings. English Ivy is a hardy evergreen groundcover that has dark green glossy leaves. This plant grows easily in many types of soil and in sun or shade. English Ivy is fairly drought tolerant once it is established. English Ivy has been recommended for use as a low maintenance alternative to lawns because it is evergreen, relatively pest free, very cold hardy and fast-growing groundcover that requires little care once established.
  • For most groundcovers, we recommend you plant 6" to 9" spacing. This will allow the plants to grow together quickly, reducing the need for hand weeding. To determine how many plants you will need, using 6" spacing, multiply the number of square footage that you need to plant by 4.0. If you would like your plants to be spaced 9" apart, multiply the number of square footage by 1.8. Example: If you have a 100 square foot area to plant and you would like your plants to be planted 6" apart, you will need to calculate 100 x 4.0 = 400. 400 is the approximate number of plants needed.
